"Kyna Morrison, a woman apt to organize" by Betty Kossick

Kyna Morrison is a professional organizer. Yet she freely gives away her secret to organization, "I'm a firm believer in keeping to do lists, including planning time for yourself."

Originally from the Pine Tree State of Maine, Morrison moved south 15 years ago, settling first in Florida's east coast. In 2004 she moved to Zephyrhills, where she teaches other people how to organize their homes and their workplaces. With a background in management and as a corporate trainer, "I've done seminars in six states on time management and organization."

Morrison currently offers free open forums about "everyday organizational issues." "I want people to be able to ask the questions they need answers to. It's always been my nature to help people. I believe I've been blessed with a talent that I want to share with others. Basically, I want to make people happy," she smiles.

Another part of Morrison's organizational techniques covers the encumbrance of identity theft that people face today. At her seminars, she provides a drawing for a free shredder as she informs about the importance of using one as a protection against this modern form of thievery.

She offers the old axiom, "Having everything in its place and a place for everything." Morrison knows that for the person who is overwhelmed with disorganization, this is a serious matter. Her business is to help. ................

When it comes to closets, Morrison suggests arranging clothing items by color and weeding out what isn't being used.......

Morrison admits she uses a lot of psychology in her work. "My clients need a support system. I deliver it with a smile."........

Businesses often contend with organizational problems, she notes. "They call with numerous business personnel issues concerning disorganization and time management, which go hand in hand, "An hour's worth of planning can save 10 hours of work. The average person wastes one hour a day just looking for misplaced items. Time is money."

She also offers businesses systems analysis, "Systems need to be tweaked because owners usually don't have the time to do it. Technology is a wonderful thing but that just means we get things faster and more of it - and that causes an overflow. Therefore preventing people from stepping back and evaluating what's going on." .............
