The Habitat Organizing Specialist Challenge! My work with East Pasco Habitat began when they contacted me to be involved in a home show for their 8th Annual Bicycle Race. My mind started racing, before the race date even arrived. Habitat, what a wonderful service Professional Organizers could offer Habitat families. Here we have people who are not only moving & could use organizing assistance preparing for the move. But, also, these same people could use help organizing their brand new homes they have worked so hard to have. My first family was the Atterberry's from Dade City. After putting my challenge out to the Organizing community, I
received my first response from Wesley
Brown, Simplified Solutions. Wes offered to come to Florida from Canada, to
not only see what I was doing, but be a working part of the process while he was
here.
Wes & I worked side by side helping to prepare a family for their move. Sorting & purging, compiling lists with the family for their needs in their new home. Setting up the owner with a new planning system for her extremely busy life. Chore lists for her children, etc. Pictures. Wes also met with the Habitat staff to help understand exactly how Habitat works. His visit also included a tour of the Habitat Re-store in Dade City. The store offers a place for donations to be sold, to help build the homes for Habitat. |
